Omega-3 Fish Oil 1000 mg (CORE)

CORE contains omega 3 fish oil from Engraulis ringens (Peruvian anchovy) and natural vitamin E (D-alpha-tocopherol acetate), in a softgel made from bovine gelatin. EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function and DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function; both effects are obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA.

Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Fish oil naturally contains a mix of fatty acids; as an omega 3 fish oil supplement, CORE is standardised on its EPA and DHA content specifically, since these are the two omega 3 fatty acids with authorised health claims. Natural vitamin E is included alongside the oil itself, as fish oil is sensitive to oxidation and benefits from an antioxidant in the same softgel.

Bovine gelatin Fish oil from Engraulis ringens forms the base of the formula, with natural vitamin E as an antioxidant. The softgel shell is made from bovine gelatin. Per daily dose (2 softgels): fish oil 2,000 mg, of which EPA 910 mg and DHA 460 mg, vitamin E 20 mg (166% RI).
